Service Description

Perfect your prom look with our professional alteration service. Ellie at Alexandra Mayleigh Designs will expertly pin and tailor your gown to ensure a flawless, confidence-boosting fit for your special night. How the Prom Alterations Process Works 1. Book your appointment Please book 8 weeks before your event date. A £20 non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your appointment and covers your first fitting. 2. Tailoring for the perfect fit Ellie will assess your gown and recommend the alterations needed. She strongly advises starting with the hemline, as the perfect length instantly elevates the overall look. Any additional adjustments will be guided by Ellie’s expert eye to ensure your dress fits beautifully. 3. Attend your fitting Your dress will be pinned and shaped precisely to your body to achieve the ideal silhouette and comfort. We look forward to being part of your prom dress experience!


Cancellation Policy

Prom Alterations Policy - A £20 booking deposit is required to secure your booking on checkout and is non refundable. - If you cancel your booking 30 days before you will receive a full refund, after this unfortunately you will lose your booking deposit of £20. However if you choose to rearrange your booking you deposit is transferred to your new appointment. - Payments are expected to be paid in full at the end of your first appointment. - If unable to pay in full, a 50% deposit is required at the end of your first appointment and the rest at your final fitting not on your collection date. Cancellations: - Alexandra Mayleigh Designs reserves the right to cancel any order without explanation for doing so, in the event of circumstances which meant that the work requirements could not be met. - We will ensure that any communication of cancellation or any applicable refund will be made in reasonable time. - Cancellations by customers within 48 hours of order confirmation will be considered. However, the cancellation request will not be considered in this instance that work has already started and is in progress. Alexandra Mayleigh Designs holds all rights to accept or decline cancellations. The customer in this instance, will not receive a refund of their deposit. - Client must place their first appointment booking at least 8 weeks in advance of their desired completion. Not booking in advance may result in a cancellation of your booking due to not allowing enough time for the work required, a refund will be issued in these circumstances. - Any other changes to your booking would be governed by the above terms and Alexandra Mayleigh Designs has full autonomy to accept or decline. Returns: - No returns for any custom garments or any of our services will be accepted due to them being made-to-measure and bespoke designs. - In the event that the client is not happy with the service received, they should email alexandramayleighdesigns@gmail.com with reference to their booking and their query. Alexandra Mayleigh Designs will aim to resolve within a reasonable time frame. Measurements: - You will be required for your measurements to be taken at every appointment and will be asked to maintain these measurements until your event date. - If any work is carried out and is incorrect due to your own cause of not maintaining your measurements, you will be charged extra for any additional work. - Appointments are based on how much work is needed to be completed.
